Bio

Mark is going to be a Music Education major with a minor in Theatre. In high school he was the secretary for Key Club two years consecutively winning the distinguished treasurer award. He was also a member of Student Council all four years as well as Tri-M (Modern Music Masters). Mark has been in many plays and musicals such as 7 Missoula Childrens Theatre productions, Ogallala High and Middle Schools productions of "The Music Man" as Marcellus Washburn "Guys and Dolls" as Nicely-Nicely Johnson "Damn Yankees" as Coach Van Buren "Oliver Twist" as Oliver's Grandfather as well as numerous one-act and two-act productions. Mark was also involved in North Platte's Communitee Theatre production of "Hello Dolly" where he played a waiter, dancer, and an athelete. Mark has worked at Ogallala Public Schools as a custodian and worked the summer school for Special Education students, Valentinos as a cook/dishwasher, Front Street as a performer, and the Ogallala Moose Lodge as a waiter. During his senior year Mark won several distinctive scholarships and awards such as the John Phillip Sousa award, the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Scholarship and earned his Eagle Scout Rank.
Mark is currently involved in Third Hand Improv, International Tuba-Euphonium Association as Vice President, Marching Band and Music Educators National Conference. He is Assistant Stage Manager of the UNK production of "Almost Maine" and actively participates in Intramurals. Mark is just starting his college career and is excited to get involved all around campus.
